Anthropic launches Cyber Mission
Anthropic’s Cyber Mission starts with critical infrastructure and open source software. The initiative pairs model access and engineering support with efforts to find and repair vulnerabilities.
Two different forms of defensive support
The Cyber Mission announcement introduces a Critical Infrastructure Defense Program for providers protecting operational technology, including power, water and transport systems. The initial group includes security vendors, consultants and equipment manufacturers.

Anthropic explicitly says these reports are generated by models and sent without human review. Projects need the capacity to triage them; human-verified disclosures remain available through its existing process.
